Sunday's Best Crew Inc. Is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We deliver home-cooked nutritious meals to the Unhoused. Many of them are seniors, veterans, young adults who aged out of the foster care system, and others who are struggling with mental illness. A lack of access to health care and services along with limited food supply, leaves homeless people more vulnerable to chronic disease and illness.
Majority of them do not qualify for food assistance from the government because of a lack of proper identification. They often lack the means to eat nutritious food. In many cases they eat scraps that are left in trash cans or whatever food they can find on the streets just to survive.
Poor nutrition can contribute to stress and tiredness, and in time it can contribute to the risk of developing some illnesses and other health problems such as being overweight or obese, from eating unhealthy foods, tooth decay, and high blood pressure.
Sunday Best Crew delivers home-cooked nutritious meals six days a week, throughout the communities to the Unhoused. Our purpose is to increase healthy eating, to prevent the risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.
